Shopify B2B on standard plans · Updated 2026
Shopify B2B is now free on every plan.
Here's what's still missing.
The Plus paywall came down. Companies, company locations, catalogues and negotiated price lists are available to merchants on standard plans. That is genuinely good news — and it moved the bottleneck rather than removing it. This page is the honest inventory: what you get for free, the three walls you hit in the first week, and what it takes to get past them without an App Store install or a theme edit.

What changed
What you actually get without Plus
The B2B primitives are now standard. You can create a company, attach one or more company locations to it, assign a catalogue to that location, and price that catalogue independently of your retail prices. Buyers log in with a company contact account and check out at their own prices through the same Shopify checkout you already run.
That covers the simplest wholesale shape: a handful of accounts, one shared trade price list, and a small enough catalogue that you can maintain it by hand. If that describes your operation, you may not need anything else — and we would rather say so than sell you something.
- Companies and company locations on standard plans
- Catalogues with their own price lists, separate from retail
- B2B checkout with company-contact logins
- Native order flow into your existing Shopify admin
Wall one
The catalogue cap is the real limit now
Native B2B caps how many catalogues you can run. In practice a catalogue is how you express a pricing tier, so the cap is a cap on how many distinct pricing tiers your business is allowed to have.
Any wholesaler with a bronze/silver/gold structure, plus a distributor rate, plus a regional rate, plus one strategic account on bespoke terms, is already past it. The workaround merchants reach for — collapsing tiers into one 'average' catalogue — quietly costs margin on every order from the accounts that should have been paying more.
- One catalogue per pricing tier, and tiers multiply faster than merchants expect
- Per-customer negotiated rates have nowhere to live once the cap is reached
- Collapsing tiers protects the setup and costs you margin instead
Wall two
There is no ERP in the picture
Native B2B assumes Shopify is the source of truth. If you run Odoo, it is not — your cost prices, stock, and customer records live there, and every price change becomes a manual re-key into Shopify catalogues.
This is the failure mode that actually loses customers: a buyer orders at last quarter's price, or orders stock that Odoo knows was allocated an hour ago. Nothing in the native feature set closes that loop.
Wall three
A B2B flag on a retail storefront is not a buyer portal
Wholesale buyers do not browse. They reorder. They want last month's order in front of them, their own price sheet, case-pack quantities, and a way to submit a purchase order without a card.
Native B2B gives them your consumer storefront with different numbers on it. It works, but it optimises for discovery when the job to be done is repetition.
The fix
What closing the gap looks like
Hasil layers on top of the Shopify you already run. It connects through Shopify's official OAuth — no App Store listing, no Partner account, no theme access — and adds unlimited per-customer price lists, quantity breaks, and a gated buyer portal on your own subdomain.
Orders placed in the portal arrive in Shopify as draft orders, so invoicing, taxes and fulfilment do not move. Hasil never touches funds, and raw payloads auto-purge after 30 days. If you run Odoo, the same connection keeps products, stock and pricing in agreement without Zapier and without a custom Odoo module.
- Unlimited price lists and quantity breaks — no catalogue cap
- Gated portal with reorder history and per-customer price sheets
- Two-way Odoo sync, stress-tested at 1,000 requests per hour
- No funds touched: draft orders, invoiced from Shopify

FAQ
Shopify B2B on standard plans — common questions
Is Shopify B2B really available on every plan now?+
Yes. As of the 2026 change, B2B companies, company locations, catalogues and price lists are no longer gated behind Shopify Plus — merchants on standard plans can create B2B companies and sell at negotiated prices. The constraint moved from 'which plan you pay for' to 'how many catalogues you are allowed', which is where most growing wholesalers now hit a wall.
What can't Shopify's native B2B do?+
Three things merchants notice within the first week. There is a hard cap on the number of B2B catalogues you can run, so segment-level pricing stops scaling quickly. There is no ERP bridge, so prices and stock in Odoo have to be re-keyed by hand. And the buyer experience is your storefront with a B2B flag on it — not a purpose-built ordering surface with reorder history and per-customer price sheets.
Do I need Shopify Plus to sell wholesale in 2026?+
No. That was the old answer. Today the honest answer is that Plus buys you scale and higher API limits, not access to B2B itself. Most merchants doing under a few hundred wholesale orders a month do not need Plus — they need a way past the catalogue cap and a way to keep the ERP in agreement with the store.
Does Hasil replace Shopify B2B or sit on top of it?+
It sits on top. Hasil connects through Shopify's official OAuth — no App Store install, no theme edits — and adds unlimited per-customer price lists, quantity breaks, and a gated buyer portal. Orders flow back into Shopify as draft orders, so your invoicing, taxes and fulfilment stay exactly where they are.
How long does the setup take?+
Around three minutes to connect Shopify, and another few minutes to import your customer groups and price lists. If you also connect Odoo, the first catalogue sync runs in the background and finishes in minutes to hours depending on catalogue size.
Does Hasil ever touch payments?+
No. Hasil never handles funds. Wholesale orders arrive in Shopify as draft orders and you invoice from Shopify as you already do. Raw sync payloads auto-purge after 30 days.
